Its purpose is to establish a uniform and transparent system for the recognition of qualifications. ItÕs based on the assumption that the skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to acquire qualifications can be obtained through different learning. Through formal education, non-formal education and informal learning.
The National Qualifications Framework brings innovation in expending the recognition of qualifications acquired through non-formal or informal learning as well. Anyone will able to review their skills before an expert committee to obtain a certificate of qualifications. It also allows employees to communicate with the entire education system and submit their requirements for learning outcomes. It offers the opportunity to recognize the qualification acquired outside
formal education, better employment in the countries of the European Union, a better interconnection of employers and the education system, which increased public interest in lifelong learning and employment growth in Slovakia.
