This APEL qualification was developed by Duo Training, a training centre
approved by the awarding body City & Guilds, for early years and play workers
without formal qualifications who wish to gain a qualification that recognises their working practice and experience (*). This qualification is classified as level 3 on the national qualification framework (NQF). It can be achieved by recognising previous experience and knowledge alone (i.e. no further training is required). Portfolio-based plus reviews and reflective accounts
